The Young AFCEAN Career Grant 2011

The Young AFCEAN Advisory Council is awarding up to five $500 Professional Development Grants

2011 Topic

2011 is the "Year of the Chapter" for AFCEA International, which means that a more specific focus will be emphasized on individual chapters. This comes at an especially appropriate time, with the Fort Monmouth BRAC nearing its point of total completion and a significant portion of the membership from the local chapter has already transitioned (or is in the middle of transitioning) to the APG area. That in mind, certain measures are being taken in efforts to sustain (and hopefully bolster) the membership in the Fort Monmouth area after the BRAC move has been completed.

As a member of the AFCEA community in fort Monmouth, what would you suggest as the best course of action in the continued sustainment of the local chapter? How would you continue to foster the link between the APG and Ft. Monmouth chapters, in the efforts of preserving the sense of community between members old and new? Finally, how do you see Social Media playing a role in said Sustainment?
