The Young Afcean Advisory Council is awarding up to 8(eight) $500 grants for use in your Professional Development YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED YOUNG
AFCEAn (35yrs old or younger to TO BE ELIGIBLE*). This career grant
is open to young professionals (Government, Industry, Military) employed
within and/or supporting the C4ISR community. Individuals eligible for
other AFCEA Student Scholarships are not eligible for this grant. Here's the specifics: DUE DATE: June 4th, 2008 Close of Business (5:00 pm) REQUIREMENTS: 1. Write a 1000 (min) - 1500 (max) word essay. 2008 Topic Below
With the invent/increased popularity of
websites such as youtube, online blogs, and wiki pages, electronic
communication has changed drastically over the past few years. With
these changes, security issues and ease of information
sharing/gathering have had both positive and negative effects for
those in and out of theater. Where do you see these types of
electronic communications heading in the next 5-10 years and what
will be the impact(s) on the Warfighter.

Therefore, please register early. The awarded grants are designed for application towards career advancement in a variety of ways that the individual sees fit. Grants can be used for additional college courses, conference and symposium registrations, educational seminars, and even technical books in a relevant discipline
