The Young Afcean Advisory Council is awarding up to 8(eight) $500 grants for use in your Professional Development YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED YOUNG
AFCEAN (40 yrs old or younger to TO BE ELIGIBLE*). Here's the specifics: DUE DATE: June 2nd, 2008Close of Business (5:00 pm) REQUIREMENTS: 1. Write a 1000 (min) - 1500 (max) word essay. The topic is: 2008 TBA 2007 Topic Below
"The Department of Defense and all of
the organizations AFCEA represents have the difficult challenge of
recruiting and retaining the best and brightest young people for
careers of national and international service. Whether Government,
Industry, or Academia, all of the AFCEA member-organizations are
faced with a demand for bright, young leaders to help shape the
Communications-Electronics landscape worldwide. Come up with a
slogan for recruiting/retaining Young AFCEANs for careers within
AFCEA's mission-areas, describe how you would get the message out to
the target demographic, and discuss the potential impacts of a
successful campaign."
2. You must submit soft copy via EMAIL to Lisa Pandolf at lisa.pandolf@tmsg.sytexinc.com 3. It must be in MS Word. Times New Roman, 12 pt font, double-spaced, Full Justification, one-inch margins. 4. Include your name, daytime phone number, and email address on your essay. 5. Please, only ONE paper can be submitted per person. Therefore, please register early. The awarded grants are designed for application towards career advancement in a variety of ways that the individual sees fit. Grants can be used for additional college courses, conference and symposium registrations, educational seminars, and even technical books in a relevant discipline
