Mike Caputo Superior Grants

This $3250 grant is given to the school whose submission best fits the Chapter’s criteria.  It has been named for the first Vice President of Education, who served this Chapter in many capacities for three decades and who built the foundation for the current educational programs.

Scientific Equipment Grants 

These grants (up to$2750) are given to high schools or programs, for whom justifications are submitted for specific equipment that will enhance educational opportunities for the students, and advance their interest in communications, electronics or computer science.

Scientific Teaching Tools Awards

The AFCEA Educational Foundation invited the Fort Monmouth Chapter to pilot a new program in 1993 because of its history of exceptional initiative in educational endeavors.

The program was initiated to support Science teaching in middle schools, and named “Science Teaching Tools Award”, with an annual matching grant of $1000 from the Foundation.

The award is given to middle school science teachers in the local area who have demonstrated skill in conducting student science experiments as part of their courses. It may be used for consumable materials or for equipment which supports experiments in science education.
