A Message from the President, J.R. May:

It is with deep sadness that we send out this note on the passing of Barbara Fischer.  Among the many things she did in her life, she was a marketing representative for GTE Government Services, where she retired in 1993 after 30 years of service.   She was the first woman president of the Fort Monmouth Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).   A portion of our chapter's scholarship program was named in her honor many years ago.

Her obituary can be found at APP

A good friend to many, her presence within our chapter will be missed.
